We got a good nights sleep, after packing up we were on our way to town. As we were walking down the street a woman jumped out of a car that was parked in a driveway. I heard my name called. I was very confused. But low and behold Rachel a college friend ran over for a big. Wow, I still can’t believe it. What are the chances that as she headed to work we would be walking down the same road. It was quite the surprise. She ended up giving us a ride to town. It was great to see her, even if just for a short while. What a small, small world.
After breakfast at the Squeeze In, we headed to the library to print a few items. From there we hit up laundry as we waited for Arctic’s sister to arrive. Laundry was a real challenge. Not only was the building boiling but there was no restroom to change in. (When we do laundry we often wash everything we own, which means we sit around in our HOT rain gear.) It was miserable but laundry was a necessary evil, especially in this hot weather.
After laundry we hit the grocery store where we met Abby and Jordan. After grabbing provisions we headed to the Donner Memorial State Park.
Car camping is great! We were able to have a fire (the PCT is so dry it is illegal to have a fire on the trail.) We went swimming and just relaxed. It was great.
Life is Good. 🙂
Oh ya’ know just growing mossy mustaches.
